Good circular walk with great views. Easy level terrain with mostly very wide paths. Very narrow roads and then track to get to a very small carpark - fits about 4 cars as need to keep entrance gate clear. Plenty of history on route and leaflet on area is interesting.

Great little walks around the reserve to the lake. We also walked on to Roger's Tower, Which has stunning views of Marazion & St Michael's Mount. Even better when the sun is out, we had a little rain.

As a nature reserve visitors are usually very responsible, never leaving rubbish nor making the experience less than it could be for others. But there's always one!

A beautiful place near where I grew up that used to be so quiet you would hardly see a soul but these days in hot weather you get lots of people in wetsuits going for a swim.

Be aware that the pool is very very deep, the water is very cold even in summer (so danger of cramping) and the bottom drops away close to the shore. Please be careful is paddling or swimming.

There used to be lots of bilberries, or urts as they are known locally, growing on the slopes of the hillock and my sister and I spent hours picking them as children.

The pool is a lot higher than I remembered when I was young, you used to be able to sit on the platform and dangle your feet in the water. If you sat there now your head would be...

Bakers Pitt nature reserve is a lovely place to walk around, most times it is so quiet and peaceful. I have been here so many times and every time there's always something new to see. You and walk around the lake or if you're feeling more adventurous you can head up onto the downs and enjoy acre after acre of the beautiful, wild Cornish Moorland. Good walking boots are a must as can become very muddy after a good downpour and the weather can turn...

Good place for a walk. Parking is in a small area indicated on google maps by the pin that drops when you search for the place. Be warned last 100 yards of the road is rough track. A fully loaded Skoda Octavia managed it but low and lowered cars would struggle. Some steep tracks and occasionally collapsed wooden walkways. Mud on lakeshore is deep and very sticky. Surrounding land is actively used for cattle so shut all gates behind you when you...
