Cornwall doesn't have much in the way of high points, so this rare "summit" is all the more precious. With wonderful views of both coasts, and plenty of rocks to scramble on, it's well worth the walk. I did the climb up with my then 7-month pregnant wife and 3-year-old and they were absolutely fine, so don't worry about needing to be particularly fit - it's very approachable. Just take it easy! There are lots of other lovely paths that loop around the hill as well.

So lovely. I'm tempted to say negative things to put the tourists off, but I just couldn't! You can see everything up there... Autumn/winter the track is very muddy, so recommend appropriate footwear. Also lots of brambles. If you are taking littles it's quite a walk for small legs, but totally worth it. I saw people cycling but I personally think they are mad, but hey, that isn't my thing. We have visited twice, and both times was very windy, I kind of like that.

wonderful Highpoint of West Cornwall… North and south Coast and even the wild Atlantic in the distance can be viewed… Superb! This place was inhabited 4000 or so years ago and there’s evidence of a Hillfort here. It’s very special to find the natural spring that bubbles up at the base of the Westerly Rock... Can’t help but imagine our distant ancestors refreshing themselves with this...

Visited on a lovely sunny day, could see for miles. The map didn't quite seem to match the paths, but otherwise absolutely lovely place for a walk. We took a three year old who managed the climb fine and enjoyed scrambling around the rocks. I was also 7 months pregnant and didn't find it too challenging (not more than doing anything else 7 months pregnant, anyway!).

Beautiful walk. Can be part of the longer carbis to marathon or just a 30 minute walk lovely ok it's own. Great climb (but easily doable) to the top of a couple of large boulders. Cracking views. One of mine and my dogs favourites. We tried to do the sunrise last time.... and picked the only summer cloudy day! Still worth it though!!

Love it up here! You can make the walk up as long as you want as there are plenty of footpaths and parking points in the area. From the top there are views out to both coasts as well as across the West peninsula. The top is quite a large area perfect for picnicking within the ruins of the neolithic village

Description
Trencrom Hill is a prominent hill fort, owned by the National Trust, near Lelant, Cornwall. It is crowned by an univallate Neolithic tor enclosure and was re-used as a hillfort in the Iron Age. Cairns or hut circles can be seen in the level area enclosed by the stone and earth banks.
