Above the beach, which is unreachable, is a Hamlet of Kettleness. Little parking on grass only. Consisting of a farm owned by Mulgrave Estate. A Scout Camp which is the Old Station 🚉. Good views of the sea and Runswick Bay. Coastal walk is the Cleveland Way. 2 miles down to Runswick Village and 200 steps! The other way to SANDSEND.

If you are to walk down from kettleness, it's extremely steep so not for elderly or anyone with kids. There are 3 different ropes that lead you down - all 3 are extremely steep and essentially you are abseiling l down - so be careful. Much better waterfalls to see in the area.

Views are incredible very wet when we went, so there no way of getting onto the beach as due to land slips, the path was too dangerous. We are definitely going back when the weather gets better and the paths are dry. The waterfall coming onto the beach is something stunning.

If you are to walk down from kettleness, it's extremely steep so not for elderly or anyone with kids. There are 3 different ropes that lead you down - all 3 are extremely steep and essentially you are abseiling l down - so be careful. Much better waterfalls to see in the area.
