A lovely garden, which my companion described as a "lovely little wood". The magnolias and camellias were gorgeous at the end of February / early March and the tree ferns were truly outstanding! But there looked to be plants that would be very attractive at lots of different times of the year. When we arrived the helpful staff said it would take 1 hour and 15 minutes to follow the route around - which was precisely correct! We also reserved a table for lunch, which was a good idea, and the food was very tasty - you could go for sandwiches or soup or something more hearty. We greatly enjoyed our visit and would very much recommend this little gem!

Discovered this gem last year and we had to return. The gardens are beautiful and there's something interesting at every turn. With the map comes the Head Gardeners notes on what to look out for which adds to your walk. Lovely and shady when it's a scorching day and great for dogs. The cafe restaurant I can't recommend enough. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is amazing. Lovely selection of cakes and drinks. I would add that the set up is good that you can just visit for the cafe and enjoy the view from the benches of you don't want to do the gardens. Will be back next year.

What a beautiful little garden hidden away in the cornish countryside. My wife and I loved the time that we spent here. The garden is laid out with small uneven pathways and larger clatter paths. My favourites were the tree ferns, hidden away in their own little glade, which just happens to be one of the earliest tin mines in the world. It is absolutely beautiful and worth the cost of entry alone. Don't forget to have some cake and coffee at the little cafe, the coffee is Cornish and makes a really fine brew.

Outstanding gardens to visit. Lots of very different flora to see. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. We were told it takes 1.1/2 hours to walk round and that was about bang on with a ten minute sit down for a butty half way. It is mostly hard gravel path and can be a little tricky in places. Wheelchair access could be tricky if you aren't used to slightly hilly gravel paths.

Great place to visit. Open seven days. Fantastic cafe almost like a mini restaurant. Today they were making sausage apple and leek sausage rolls and preparing soups and fresh roasts. They do three or four things for Sunday roast and amazing cakes. Of course you can walk around the gardens as well. Wheelchair accessible.
