Church Door Cove — Attraction in Manorbier

Such a beautiful cove, best visited when the sea is out. There's free parking within a short walking distance on the clifftop, and sturdy steps lead down to the beach. The scenery along the coastal path as you approach the cove is astounding, with Caldy Island in the distance.

You can walk through the arch to the other side where you'll find more to explore along the sandy beach. Look out for fossils on the rocks if you're interested as we found a few without too much trouble.

This is a phenomenal piece of nature. A massive chunk of rock has fallen from a section juting out from the beach, without the rock above falling as well, giving a very large rectangular gap that resembles a doorway - just very large!

Findng the beach was a little tricky, all searches say park at the YHA car park, that was fine but there was no signs to indicate where you had to go after that. In the end we found a finger post for a footpath leaving the back of the car park and as long as we kept heading towards the sea we found the concrete steps that take you to the beach. The stunning beauty is definitely worth the effort of navigating the steps from the cliff top to the hidden beach. The beach may not have much sand, but it is surrounded by impressive eroded rocks and boulders. It's a great spot for soaking up the sun. There are several free parking areas nearby, although they require a short walk. Keep in mind that this location can get quite crowded during peak times.
