This place is unexplored and untapped. Not busy at all even during long weekend. The drive up until this location is beautiful and the walk is a scenic walk with water on both sides. Google maps will ask you to drive up till the light house however it’s recommended to park at the start of the road and take a 15 minute walk till the light house. It’s an extremely easy walk and there are benches there to sit as well. But having said all, it’s just for leisurely walk and nothing else. A 30 minute walk will take you till the Millom beach. Good place for a quick stop and enjoy the walk. It’s dog...

Warning, road to the lighthouse is very bumpy! A tall 4 by 4 is an essential, especially in rainy weather. If your car is not up for it, you can park at the bottom of the road and walk up.

At the light house, there is some information about it which is interesting, and some more information about the old mine. You can walk along the sea wall which gives good views over the bay.

There is also a bird hide there.

Overall, not too much to see, but okay for a...

The Old lighthouse and mining infrastructure here are quite interesting to see for history fans and those who like the film Annihilation. There's not one abandoned lighthouse here, but 3 and all in easy reach of each other. You can drive all the way up to Haverigg lighthouse and even almost to the other two but it feels against the spirit of the nice walk along the coast. The RSPB reserve is nearby but doesn't require dogs on leads as you can't really...

Not much to see, but a nice wall along the sea wall and an information board explaining when and why the wall and lighthouse was built. Make sure you park at the car park and walk as the road is full of pot holes.
