Not a lot of people know about it, which is a shame, because as it becomes established it will be a great place to visit for an undisturbed walk. Would like the established paths mowed occasional, as at this time of year, in shorts your legs will get spiked. Part of the reason it may not be popular is there is no where close to park. I have found a spot one and a half miles away with a pleasant walk to it, would like a circular walk, but still working on that. There are memorials to the ships and crew lost at the Battle of Jutland, been three times only found it once as its in a different field, signage...

GREAT place for a walk. Enjoyed a lovely Sunday stroll. It was Remembrance day and there was a beautiful huge wreath which you could write a message on little wooden hearts and stick on. PLAY AREA & PICNIC BENCHES TOO. Ideal for KIDS! Lots of sculptures and enjoyed reading the signs about the local area during the war & the soldiers was very moving. Perfect place to go for a walk and especially on that special day, in which children, young adults would learn a lot and have fun. A coffee truck at the carousel would have been ideal ! And toilets. Especially as we ended up walking...

Walked a few weeks back from the cafe hut on Epsom Downs on what turned out to be a warm afternoon. If you think it's going to be windy, then remember Scott of the Antarctic. Our friends had been here before; there's a majestic wooden structure/ art piece that one day you can sit and contemplate in, beside which are man-size carvings of soldiers and civilians, maybe thirteen in total? Very cool; also historical notes about that area during the world war. Plus masses of trees planted as part of the commemoration. A nice tribute,...

Beautiful and peaceful, with some interactive displays. It seems very new still, especially the car park. You have to pay to park your car (they even have electric car charging points) but the woods are free to enter. There is a lovely children's playground. It's a popular place for dog walking but some of them need to be reminded to clean up after their dog!

Nestled in the fields near Langley Vale rest statues of First World War soldiers, surrounded by a field of daisies. A really beautiful and humbling sight to see, and well worth the walk. There is also a wonderful community orchard, a dairy farm, and cows and sheep grazing. It felt like we were a million miles away from Epsom.
