Third time’s the charm! White Post Farm, you’ve officially stolen my heart
I’ve visited this magical place thrice now, and I’m happy to report that it just keeps getting better. Every visit feels like stepping into an episode of Animal Planet but with more snacks. Speaking of which, let’s talk about the tea rooms. We were served by Janice (pretty sure that’s her name – if not, I’m adopting her and calling her that anyway), who was an absolute gem. She was super friendly, and the food was next-level. I’m still dreaming about that bread, chips, coleslaw, and quiche. Honestly, I didn’t know quiche could change my life, but here we are.
The atmosphere? So chill, I almost forgot I wasn’t on a beach vacation. It’s just that relaxing. This place has such a good vibe that even after three visits, I’m still itching to come back. If I could drive, I’d probably be here every weekend, hanging out with Janice and the quiche. Maybe I’ll learn soon just so I can feed my new farm addiction.
Now, the meerkat talk. Picture this: a dude with long brown hair and a beard (very “I’m-one-with-nature” vibes) giving an A+ presentation. I didn't catch his name, but let’s call him "Meerkat Whisperer." He was funny, educational, and so patient with the crowd, answering questions like a champ. I left knowing more about meerkats than I ever thought possible – and with a deep admiration for his majestic beard.
Oh, and shout-out to the lovely ladies in the gift shop. They were sweet and helpful, both when I entered and as I left (which is code for “bought all the things”). My house is now filled with farm-themed memorabilia, and I have no regrets.
The birds of prey? Majestic. Armadillo? Adorable. Porcupines? Surprisingly cute. Meerkats? Obviously the stars of the show. I missed a few events, and I still wasn’t brave enough to venture into the reptile house. But next time, I WILL face the crocodiles and butterflies like the fearless adventurer I pretend to be. Probably.
Let’s talk goats. Oh, those glorious, noisy, hilarious goats! They’re the farm's drama queens, and I am here for every second of it. It’s like a goat reality TV show. Throw in some alpacas and sheep, and you've got yourself a barnyard soap opera. Pure, chaotic bliss.
The variety of birds is amazing. Big ones, tiny ones, rainbow-colored ones that look like they flew straight out of a tropical vacation. The owls, in particular, had me grinning like a kid on Christmas morning. Forget everything else – seeing those owls alone was worth the price of admission.
Bonus points for the Shetland ponies, guinea pigs, rabbits, and actual pigs, who were all cute as heck. But those ponies? Adorable on another level. Someone needs to start a Shetland pony fan club – I’ll be president.
White Post Farm has officially re-kindled my farm obsession. It’s even better than I remember, with all the new animals and updates. I sincerely hope this place continues to thrive because it’s one of the top (if not ONLY) reasons I want to stay in this area.
Oh, and for anyone wondering, this place is incredibly disability-friendly. Flat, spacious paths, helpful staff, and everything’s within walking distance. Even if you can’t or won’t drive, you’ll have zero problems getting around.
Whether you’re bringing kids or just your own inner child, White Post Farm is the ultimate day out. It’s more than just a visit – it’s an experience you’ll want to repeat. And repeat. And… well, you...

Toilets: I'd rate a 10/10 for a farm, they're clean and spacious and by far the nicest loos I've used at a petting zoo/farm
Food: 10/10 I can't remember exact prices but everything was under a tenner i had scampi and chips which comes with a salad and coleslaw, absolutely delicious and well worth the money, too many chips for me but it was hot and I have less of an appetite when I'm hot. My partner and his sister had the jacket potato and they were both very happy with theirs. I had a slushie, it was lovely and a standard slushie price. My partner had a latte that he absolutely loved and his sister was very pleased with the fact they do decafe tea! We had icecream later which you just HAVE TO HAVE! Well worth the money!
Animal experience: we had the goat experience, you get to walk 2 pygmy goats which is lots of fun with one of the farmers who gives you facts, helps with the goats if they're being stubborn, and is just genuinely kind and friendly. I've never had any animal experiences at this particular farm, it was my first visit however I have elsewhere on numerous occasions and I'd have to say it's an absolute BARGAIN here! Would highly recommend!
Other facilities: the entire farm has the perfect about of signage, enough so you know where you're going and what the rules are but not so much that it's "ugly". It's the only farm I've come across so far with a designated smoking area, I usually smoke in the car park but get anxious about being too close to other people I really like that they've made a small area to smoke so you can be away from the animals but also non smokers. The gift shop is lovely though I only had a quick look. They look to have a lot of children's activities and play areas too.
Would highly recommend and I can't...
Read moreI took my little boy there for his birthday and it was a fantastic day.
The day was overcast and there was some drizzle in the afternoon but this did not deter from the amazing experience that my little boy and I had. There were plenty of indoor venues when it was wet, if needed, but we walked around the fields even in the rain and saw some deer, which we would have missed had we gone indoors.
Obviously, due to Coronavirus, White Post Farm has had to change the way in which visitors are allowed in and move around the venue. They have done an excellent job of this with controlled entry and one way systems throughout. We had no problems seeing everything and most people were adhering to the social distancing and one way system.
When I called to ask if I could take a birthday cake with me, they asked if I wanted to add my little boy's name and age to the "Birthday Board". I agreed and he was thrilled when he saw it at the entrance.
One little gripe that I have, though nothing to prevent our enjoyment, is that the ducks and geese seem to be overloaded on food (the pond area is covered in surplus) and this meant that many little children, my little boy included, couldn't get them to feed. Possibly may be worth looking into restricting the amount of "Two Legs" food in the future. The "Four Legs" food, however went down a treat with the goats and Llamas.
I have no doubt whatsoever that we we be visiting White Post...
