Cranfield beach offers golden sands, vehicular access for launching and life guard supervision (summer months). There is a carpark with public convienance and some local food and confectionary shops located in the caravan parks. The beach is located on a horseshoe cove with Haulbowline lighthouse sitting 1 mile of coast. The main Carlingford/Warrenpoint shipping route is located just off the coast, meaning there is shipping traffic to amuse those who aren't beach sports types. The real hidden jewel is at tbe far end of tbe beach, when you reach the rocks, a further 2km of golden sands await on the...

Had a lovely spontaneous family day here recently. The beach seemed to be clean and the others using it also respected it. I didn't see any litter lying around. Dogs are allowed on the beach. There was a car park right opposite and there were also some small food huts/vans. The beach is mostly sandy, with patches of pebbles and seaweed, but it was very comfortable and there were lots of children about on the sand and in the water. It isn't the best beach I've been to, but was small, accessible, and quieter than some of the other...

A nice beach depending on the tide height and the weather. Shame that the public toilets are shut on a December morning though. At high tide the beach consists of a thin strip of pebbles with the sand exposed as the tide goes out. There is some nice birdlife to be seen out of the holiday season, for example, Oystercatchers and Ringed Plovers . There was no visible dog mess and the beach was clean except for some sea-plastic which we cleared as best we could. Worth visiting if in...

Beautiful unspoilt beach. Free car park along the front with toilets and showers. Lovely morning walking on the beach collecting shells and taking in the views. Fairly quiet with just a few families and some brave swimmers. There’s lots of caravans here and a few homes along the front. No shops or cafes. A couple of small huts selling drinks/bakes next to the car park. There is a lifeguard station here too. A lovely spot.

It's a lovely place to go with your family and pets. You need to bring your own food because there is no restaurants. There is a public toilet very clean. For the small ones is a playground. And the beach is whit sand not stones. There is a life guards to. The car park is a small but enough.
