Murlough Beach, nestled within the Murlough National Nature Reserve, is a hidden gem on the Northern Irish coast. The expansive sandy beach stretches for miles, offering a serene and peaceful escape. The golden sands are perfect for sunbathing, building sandcastles, or simply enjoying a leisurely stroll.

While the beach itself is a highlight, the surrounding dunes and wildlife add to the allure. The dunes offer a unique landscape to explore, with paths winding through the sand and vegetation. Keep your eyes peeled for a variety of birdlife, including nesting seabirds during the breeding season.

Facilities:

Car Park: There's a car park on site with £5/day, which is free for National Trust members. Time is 08:00am to 07:00pm. Toilets: Public toilets are available in...

I will never visit again. A place that charges a whopping 7 pounds for what? For entry... Nothing else. Toilets have no toilet paper. Bin bins are collected two hours before closing. You have until 7 p.m. because who says so? The fee for this place is absurd. You get nothing in return and your time is limited. Everyone has to flee as if they were being thrown out. Some, if they haven't already, have to jump through the gate with children, women, or dogs. This is absurd. We pay taxes for this crap and they still rob us. The worst place I've ever been to in Northern Ireland. I will never go back and I really don't recommend wasting your time...

Free car park just down the road from the entrance, then a walk down the boardwalk to the beach. Lifeguards on duty during the summer and a designated swimming area. Great circular walk, around 5 miles, coming back on a stony track that has car access. Toilets and ice-cream for sale in the national trust carpark near the caravan park, parking available there and nearer the beach if you pay. Great place to...
