Entry into the grounds and car parking is free. The gardens contain a variety of paths, points of interest and information boards. The House was closed on the day we visited. The site also contains a childrens' playpark, toilets and free car parks. The gravel paths may present difficulties for anyone with mobility issues. There is also a dedicated dog exercise area that appeared well used. Unfortunately, there was dog-fouling evident near the dog exercise area in particular. There was also some litter and acts of petty vandalism against the information boards. Overall, we found this a nice place to visit if...

There is a very pleasant, purpose built, perimeter walk for runners, walkers and dog walkers. It’s about 3km total depending on when you turn for home. There is the opportunity to go half way and cut across.

There is also a dog run, which is very popular. Many folk come here to just let the dogs off the leash in a safe space.

Derrymore House and the Quaker Church etc have some interesting history. Plus a hidden garden kinda thing.

There’s also a secure (dog free) play park for the bambinos, should you be tasked with keeping them entertained.

A great spot. Lucky to have it on...

Love this place, everything about it. It’s so interesting especially with the secret hidden cages in the forest hidden down a secret path. I should say less, I know a lot about this place and this village. Overall it’s nice and relaxing with multiple path choices and inspirational signs on the benches. A dog park and children’s as well, it’s amazing overall, where the archway is is where the “witches circle” is, it’s shaped in a circle with a massive stone chair which i consider is the “kings chair,” I highly recommend going in the...

Derrymore House and woodland walk and medieval rath are well worth taking the time to stop and see. The house dates from the 1770's and the Parkland is full of nature and good for a brisk walk or even a run. Weekday mornings are lovely when you get it nearly to yourself and plenty of parking and dog friendly. Can't believe it took me so long to visit this beautiful place and I'll be back!
