A beautiful beach that we were able to explore as the tide was out. A beautiful sunny day, made it perfect. It has a pay and display car park, next to the pub, please note the toilets in the car park are not in use. The pub is popular and was busy serving teas coffees and snacks mid morning.
The beach was accessed by crossing a single track road, into a sand dune and walking onto the beach. There is another way in, over a stream, which looked fun, and some people had taken their dogs to have a drink there. Great rock formations, are seen either side, and with the tide out it was a long channelled beach down to where the tide was way out to the point. Flat white sand made for a lovely walk, exploring rock pools and seeing birds perched up on the cliffs, it was beautiful. I have been made aware there can be a rip tide here at Nolton however, we did not swim. We sat and enjoyed the weather before purchasing a coffee at the pub and sitting drinking it with a lunch we had brought with us. Very enjoyable, easy to access beach. Lovely...

Sandy at low tide with a small pebbly area up top.
There are lifeguards during the summer if that's important to you.
There is an ice cream van occasionally and hopefully he'll get a permanent pitch as there are no refreshments beach-side. But there is a bar just up the hill (The Mariners).
Car park gets full early, so try and beat the rush. There is app parking (Pay By Phone - summer '22) but you're lucky if you get reception to use it. So take coins for the pay and display (Β£5 all day). Or pre-pay where you do have reception (location 805773 - cars).
Well worth the hassle! Beautiful beach.
PS some surf and SUP lessons...
Β Β Β Read moreBeautiful, fairly small beach with carpark and pub. I've been here a few times with my dog on my fairly short visit to this area. Once to watch the Sunset and a few times to walk along the stunning coast path from here. It's about 45 mins when really taking your time to the next beach along at Druidstone which is otherwise fairly inaccessible by car, and this is now my favorite walk in the area. Yesterday during the day there was a surf school van parked up in the carpark and what I assume was a surf lesson going on, it was impressive watching the surfers gracefully ride the waves. Not tried the pub yet but it looks very inviting, and has signs to say it serves coffee and cakes etc...
