Rolling hills, fields and woods surround this wonderful park. A really lovely place for a walk during the spring and summer, especially if you have a dog. My only fault is the lack of Dog Bins and the other dog walkers who let their dogs free roam without care for any nervous puppies or older dogs nearby. I think a sign should be put up stating to put your dogs on a lead if you see another approaching. Read moreSituated on the outskirts of Stevenage, the Great Ashby District Park is great for walks, leading out into the Hertfordshire Countryside. The Park itself looks a little bare and is still becoming established.
It is a shame that there appears to be some dog owners who think that it is ok that collecting their dogs mess in a black plastic bag then throwing the bag in the hedge.
The surrounding woodland to the park also make for great walks and these come alive in late spring with the thousands...

With all the technology available to children now it's quite something to see them enjoy the simple pleasures and they're looking forward to building dens with their friends when they're a little older.
