Our first time at Heckington show after moving to Sleaford last September, we were not disappointed we bought a weekend ticket and had a wonderful time both on Saturda and Sunday despite some heavy downpours. The variety of things to see was amazing from local produce and livestock art and creative pastimes photography competitions to vintage farm vehicles and tools also classic cars Shire horses Charity stalls heritage stalls wellbeing to pottery wood turning demonstrations wonderful singers on the concert stage and a marvelous Saturday evening entertainment including Sleaford concert band Waterloo -an Abba tribute band, fantastic firework display and last night of the proms Sunday even provided a service of worship ,showjumping , a brilliant display and m by the Imps motorcycle team and much more. The show was so well organised i would like to thank everyone for their tremendous effort especially as a storm destroyed many shelters for animals .A wonderful event that showcased community spirit and dedication .Well...

Very disappointing even though rain was forecast many people arrived and weathered the heavy rain. I spoke to a exhibitor who like me noticed how few exhibits and stalls there were. We walked around the food area many were closed due to the weather and a exhibitor told us some of the exhibitors had not turned up, there was no sigh of the donkeys or poultry and very few stalls. We have been to the show every year for 21 years and it has lost the country show appeal with fewer animal, horticultural and agricultural content. Horticulture tent closed for judging I would have thought they could have due to the conditions let people in as many people left so no chance to see that area. If we braved the weather those exhibitors that did not turn should have, £10 each was poorly spent sorry to say we won't be...

Heckington Show is amazing. There are so many stalls, shows, entertainment, and fun for children that spending a day is not enough. However, the ground is very uneven. It's dry grass and soil. For a disabled wheelchair user, it's hard work. There is a massive car parking area which marshals can direct you to a suitable spot, there is a large Disabled parking area to. The show has everything anyone could want. However, the toilets are not enough. They are grouped together when they should be dotted around the whole show and are totally wheelchair unfriendly. There are toilets that state they are wheelchair accessible, however there is a lip that wheelchairs have to go over, the door is a major problem at it wants to shut all the time and once in it's very difficult to transfer to the toilet or...

A show with a bit of everything. Horses, sheep, cattle, tractors, crafts, cars, food, history, flower and veg competitions. A pity there are no rabbits or poultry as in the past. Glad the rain held off as I have been in the past when the show turns into a mud bath. Earlier in the day(Sunday) the sound on the main ring was bad/muffled and you couldn't hear what was being said if you were not on the side of the ring where all the speakers were. Later the volume seemed to have been turned up. Luckily the commentator who was talking whilst the show jumping was on had a clear voice. I have always been suprised by the thin wire fencing on the heavy horse and livestock rings. Doesn't seem substantial enough. Having said all that, I enjoyed the show this year.

Lots of negatives and not much to recommend it for me. The parking needs sorting to keep pedestrians away from exiting cars and the volunteers need training. The only unevent in the main ring was people cycling, dull. A great many stalls selling the same goods with little continuity and crafts galore in marquees. Seating was very limited throughout the show, people generally brought their own, madness. On the positive side there were lots of toilets. The horses were beautifully turned out. The chameleon and his buddies were brilliant and saved the day for me.

Very village show. A particular emphasis on history, lots of museum stands and vintage. A few stalls and some nice bits for the garden. The worst bit was the layout, very disjointed and could be easily improved. Parking was good and disabled parking put on. Just one days rain main the main walkways a mess but you could get round it ok. Great if you like animals and probably best for children. Good for a few hours but unless you are into any specific area won't take long to do.
