What a fabulous find! There is a lovely garden centre run by people with a passion for it, not just commercial gain, with many plants you don’t see in mainstream garden centres, with prices that are very reasonable. We came away with about twenty that we hadn’t planned when we set out to find the place. There is also a nice little shop selling many Dorset goods as well as their own cider, made in the museum. Can’t recommend it enough.

Stumbled across this place on the way home from Weymouth. Very interesting little place. I say little but it’s huge. It is a nursery with some beautiful plants. It is a farm shop with jams, chutneys & sausages etc. it also sells Cider and has a large collection of historical cider making equipment and they’ve made a video of how the cider would have been made. Interesting if you’re interested in that sort of thing.

I've visited this nursery on many occasions to buy vegetable plants. It may look a little run down compared to other nurseries. There are plenty of varieties of tomates and any other veg you wish to plant out. Although plants are often pot bound and several times I've been charged twice for a couple of plants. So it's best to check your receipt before you leave. This year I purchased a tray of 24 sweetcorn. When I got home I noticed there were infact only 22, but that's a minor discrepancy. Overall a good place to go for vegetable plants if you don't get time to bring on your own from seed and is good...

Interesting place for a cider lover. Lucky on our visit as some apple were being pressed. Couple of nice touches- the fun facts and dressing up box. Enjoyed the clock museum. The three ladies who spoke to us very welcoming and friendly. The man who gave us the cider samples was a bit gruff and felt uncomfortable for wanting to try them. Good selection of ciders from the mill and local producers. Along with the cheese, preserves biscuits and fudge and some earrings etc a good choice for a few take homes. Overall worth a visit. Lots squeezed into a small space but well laid out and good...
