I called this vast beach my paradise on earth. I was here in June, which is the high season. However, the beach is so long that after the trip (about 25 minutes) I was completely alone! Always a great place to visit any time of year. Stormy winter days to blow the cobwebs away or on hot summer afternoons to cool off with a dip in the sea. Take a long stroll along the shoreline, see numerous historical wrecks, explore the woodland trails.... Ample parking. Annual ticket recommended - especially since it now lasts a whole...

Gorgeous place to have a quiet bbq - TAKE RUBBISH HOME - I can't stress enough! Don't spoil it for everyone!! I found a bottle from god knows when, to which came home with me, so if your drinking, and carrying it full, please be bothered to take it home empty! Don't spoil whats left.
