Check tide tables before visiting. A small waterfall, but worth visiting for all the surrounding rocks that create quite an exciting setting. Rocks are not safe for small children. Young teenagers should be supervised. No safe access to the sea from here, but the nearby beach is good, and even has lifeguards in summer.

Food hut by the beach saves bringing a picnic, both hot and cold drinks here, though no alcohol.

Parking is at the top of the hill, if you've come to the beach by car go back up to the top, turn right and look left for a rough hand painted sign saying PARKING. It will lead you to a grassy area to park for free. Follow your nose downhill to the beach and you'll probably find the steps, with regular benches for those who need a pause on their way down.

On the beach are toilets and showers, quite well kept. I was here on season, so I can't say they'll be open all the time.

You may have to wait for a good photograph without people in - it's that popular - however if you walk on towards the next beach you'll find other interesting stuff that's less crowded, including a couple of shallow caves and all sorts of rocky formations.

Wear good shoes for this expedition, but carry rubber ones for going...

Surpassed expectations. £2 for the car park up the hill but with well maintained steps down to the beautiful beach, which at this time of year is so quiet and peaceful. Just stop and listen to the birds and the lap of the waves. Once on the beach turn to the right and walk towards the end of the cove and you find the waterfall dropping onto the beach. Area is surrounded by majestic cliffs. Lovely character properties and just near the beach is a pub serving food and drinks inside and out. Dog friendly and lovely friendly staff. If you are in luck and the tide is low you can walk past the waterfall and over the rocks to a secluded little cove with pristine sand and the feeling that you could be somewhere exotic. Thoroughly enjoyed our few hours on our own beach and our dog thought she was in heaven. Please bear in mind the possibility of seals and seal pups being around. We were very mindful of the warning posters and kept our dog...

Arrived exactly at 3.50pm. I was scared it would be to late to access the waterfall because of the tide, as I was reading reviews on my way there saying at 4pm the water reaches the waterfall... The carpark at the top of the hill was a building site so we went down and found a space (Friday afternoon) . There are 2 spaces for disabled and 2 spaces for others. The tide was coming up but I had time to walk along the beach to access the waterfall. U can still access it after 4pm by climbing over the rocks! We left at nearly 7pm and there was still visible sand next to the waterfall. We nearly had the whole beach for ourselves it was amazing. Us and few dog walkers. We came here 11 years ago when my eldest was a baby and the place didn't change. This place is in my top 3 favourite spots in UK. Free parking space. There is a tap to wash your...
