had my son’s birthday party at Plymouth karting yesterday, we chose the gold package which included both the Go Karting and food. From start to finish all of the boys had an amazing time here, all of the staff were friendly and made sure all of the boys were safe but at the same time having lots of fun! Rebecca was particularly helpful in explaining all of the timings of the party and helping in taking pictures of the boys! There was plenty of food for the amount of children and communication from the venue was quick and easy, we would highly recommend having a birthday party here!

My son had a great time karting. Whilst we both had great fun in the rage/smash room!

8 year old sons first time in a go kart and couldn't get the hang of it and kept crashing into the sides so he had to be taken off the track. A member of staff (didn't catch his name sorry!) took my son on a lap around and taught him how to steer and control the kart and after that he was great with his corners. Son ended up having a great time! The staff were great in helping him with this they really turned him around, Thankyou so much for everything and having patience with a very nervous 8 year old.

Came here two weeks ago and had an awful experience with one of the staff members. Usually I am not one to write reviews but after speaking to a friend and venting me frustrations I think it’s important to write this. I was coming to celebrate a friends 19th birthday and had never been go karting before so I was extremely anxious and didn’t know what to expect. So we arrived and had to buy some balaclavas for the course and then we headed into a room, which has posters that karting can cause serious injury which frightened me even more. to be told the rules and regulations, the gentleman was lovely enough and explained well. It was quite obvious me and one of my other friends were very nervous, we proceed to get a locker and pick out a helmet, I wear glasses and struggle to read and recognise faces without them however I can see enough to drive a go kart. I asked the same man who did the talk weather or not he advised me to wear my glasses. He advised against them as they are expensive and he didn’t want me to break them, I locked my glasses in the locker and headed down to the karts. All my friends were already in the karts waiting for me. I couldn’t read my number on the screen so I asked the female attendant to help me. She was the only female there blonde older lady… she was not only unhelpful but extremely rude! She replied to me ‘if you can’t see the bloody screen how can you see the tracks’ ( the screen is tiny and so is the writing) again I just want to point out I was very visibly nervous and she made me feel even more uneasy. I replied to her and explained her colleague had already told me not to wear my glasses. She sighed at me rolled her eyes and told me to go and get them. At this point, I was beginning to get frustrated because all of my friends were waiting for me and the way she spoke to me made me feel really uncomfortable, I bought my glasses over and tried to put them on. The helmet I was wearing was a tight motorcycle helmet therefore it would not go over my glasses she then told me to shove them through the helmet I told her these are expensive and I do not want them to break, I tried to do as she said but they wouldn’t go on. She then huffed and puffed again and told me to put them away her body langue face and attitude was so utterly rude I’ve never experienced anything like it. I was ready to walk out and not complete the karting as I was upset and still nervous, I could tell the other staff noticed this because one of them offered to look after my glasses as they knew my friends were waiting and another even asked me if I was okay. Anyway we did the karting and really enjoyed it! But I was so utterly shocked with the level of service from this member of staff considering the prices we paid (£48 for half an hour including the balaclava) I expected impeccable service but was made to feel small and even more anxious than I was at the start… so if you are nervous or worried about karting I wouldn’t recommend because the staff do not go above and beyond to make you feel at ease. If anything they...

Been coming here for years and I have never been so utterly disgusted. Crashing into multiple other people to get past, including literal children, is fine for specific people (namely “Jason” who is more than a regular), but one of these girls retaliating with the finger is grounds to be sent off the track. This has left both my dad and I with injuries because some mouth-breathing twits think they own the track and the marshals give them special treatment. On top of this, one of the marshals told my dad to “get out of the way” because two of these immature blokes were “faster” because they were unable to overtake a defending driver. That’s not racing. If someone is not fast enough to overtake someone, then they do not get past. The answer is never to crash into and spin others in order to get past. That comment was just after they both deliberately crashed into my dad to spin him. If this happened anywhere else in motorsport it would be an instant black flag. If you have any sense of self preservation, do not come here. Being a loyal customer for many years isn’t even enough to be treated with basic decency, so god knows why these blokes are given faster karts and having others sent off the track for them. And that brings me onto my next point: there is no parity between the karts. One day the karts perform well, the next it’s like they’ve been pulled out of scrapyard. It’s not natural variation; it’s lack of consistency and only wanting the marshals and a select few men to be getting the top times. It’s almost like they are actively preventing young girls from getting into karting, which is deplorable in this day and age. The recent price rises are also inexcusable as it has more than doubled in the years we have been coming, and the “experience” is considerably worse. Perhaps the prices wouldn’t need to be so high if more people were willing to come on a regular basis, but most people have the sense to come once and never come back. This place could be an absolute money maker if it was run correctly, but I guess we’ll never know. Just absolutely disgusted that they will openly treat people differently and that they’re fine with people being rammed off the track and into the barrier, resulting in serious injuries. The quality of the karts is shocking and they are definitely turned down. My sister and I were getting 21s lap times in the 200cc karts, and now we’re only getting slightly faster in the 270ccs. It’s only a matter of time before a serious incident happens because dangerous driving is not only allowed, but encouraged. But then if my family or I bump someone once or give an idiot driver a deserved hand gesture, we’re spoken to by a marshal instantly or threatened with being sent off the track. Avoid. Not even worthy...

So group date. (3 men, 3 women) ages range from around 24 to 44. we went here around 2pm on Saturday and it didnr seem that busy which was great. We decided to enjoy the lazer tag first. There were 3 other small groups with us and we had such a laugh. I was so out of breath running around in the dark. You put a pack on over your head and it lights up. Has the gun attached and was easy to fit with moveable straps around your wasit/ribs. Can pick a colour for your team as well. They showed us a quick video of instructions and things to find. ( power ups) how the guns/packs worked and also a locker up put your stuff in. One locker was big enough for all 6 of us. Coats/hats/handbags/jumpers etc. It gets warm while running around. Glow in the dark paint on the walls, random plastic windows dotted around which you can shoot through too. Time went by pretty quick but had so much fun. Especially finding a good hiding place to shoot people who then have no idea why their pack keeps stopping and flashing that they are dead. It stops you shooting for a few seconds then you can get going again. Loves it!!! Definitely going back... oh! If you book the Go Karting and lazer tag together, lazer tag is only ÂŁ4.99.

On to the Go-Karting... So you have to have a safety briefing. I think its 8 on the track at a time. Briefing also takes you through the track and what is expected of you and the rules you need to follow. Done! Then it's another locker, same size and putting on the hair net and your size helmet. You are given a number on the screen by the track and it corresponds with that Go Kart. Once seated, they check your comfortable and helmet on safe. First lap is to get used to it. No over taking etc then its let RIP!!! We had the fastest karts... and they are fast. Loved the drifting.. careful you dont use the accelerator instead of the brake... easy mistake to make... 10 mins and the adrenaline rush to be first.. could not wipe the smile from my face. Wanted to go again and again and again..once its ended you get directed off and wait to be told to exit your vehicle. They put the results up on the screen in the main area and you all get a but of paper with your details on it. Fastest lap, what position you came in WTC which you can take home. Was there a couple of hrs I think. Then off for some food. Cant really fault the place. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It was clean and tidy. No question was unanswered and think they enjoy it as much as their customers do. It...
