This hike/climb is deceiving, especially the route we chose. Perhaps the 'easy' routes mentioned in other reviews are simpler paths but we went from the Lidl car park (after buying something) then crossed the main road to the right and went up the path. Be careful, there are loads of places where the path forks or almost disappears further up but almost no sign posts to help save for a tiny directional about the circular path (which goes around Moel y Gest instead of up it). Beautiful and peaceful. Lovely walk up. Good path up and down. Some bits can be steep and tricky. Wear the right shoes. Don't forget to have a cuppa at the top for the views around. Well worth it.

Got to the top and back down from the Haven caravan site in 2 hours. Definitely worth the hike if you're in the area and you're fit enough. The views from the top are fantastic.
