Great spot for a picnic with stunning views of the bay.

Not much left of the castle obviously but still very interesting to check out. To reach it is a very VERY tight road that comes off the main road into a sharp turn. No immediate parking, so you may just have to abandon cars at the side of the road. The only access is via a farmers gate which was unlocked when we checked. The field it is in is not particularly treacherous but sturdier footware may be required for those those who arent so sure...

A lovely length of a beach , very popular on a good day,long sandy beach ,but only a few feet for the first 50ft out, great for kids having fun,red bay castle overlooks from above the pier,a cafe half way down, two kids parks,and one large car park,two small car parks,please take all litter...

Great views up here along a beautiful coastline with stunning mountains surrounding the area. Its a lovely walk around here. We often take a drive up for a picnic or even a barbeque. It really is a perfect escape for the day, very relaxing day trip and very close to the pub which is a...

After a short but steep walk up from the coast road at Red Bay you come on a farm gate and across the field lies Red Bay Castle. A defensive ditch protects against attack and then you can view the remains thanks to Cromwell they are few🏰😎great views over to Cushendall.

An interesting castle standing proud on the top of the hill. You cannot get directly to the castle and it is best to view this from the road below. A nice spot to stop at if you like castles while driving along the coastal road.

You can’t actually walk up to the castle, but it’s a beautiful place, truly. It will make you jealous of a sheep. The road to go up to it is extremely narrow and won’t fit larger vehicles, or two lanes. Drive carefully.
