Gorgeous little escape walk, enter at multiple different locations, with pretty woodland walks around scenic fishing lakes. Careful if a fisherman, some have left cans and fishing line giving a bad name to the local fisherman, don't be one of those people and take care for the environment. Beautiful dog walks with maps situated around and multiple locations you can stop for picnics

This is the first time we have been here. Nice place to have a walk. The woods are nice but pretty restricted over where you can go. The wetland is much more fun, but must have your wellingtons on.

Absolutely love this place. Never seems to be busy but it's a real gem. Fantastic for wildlife, birds, mammals, insects and even amphibians. Plenty of paths to explore and a nice mix of habitats, from open meadow areas to woodland to small lakes. Good to visit any time of yeah, but especially in spring and early summer when the place bursts into life. Great for anyone interested in wildlife, especially children as you're pretty much guaranteed to see something interesting. Wear appropriate footwear as it can get muddy, but it's well worth getting a bit dirty. Car park isn't always open but it is free and there's lay-bys on the road...

We stopped at Rixton Clay Pits for a walk to break up a car journey and were glad that we did. We had a lovely little walk. The paths were well maintained so we could walk easily without having to fight our way through or risk getting stung by nettles. The wild flowers were lovely and it was peaceful and calm. There were people fishing by the lakes but we kept our distance as we had little...
