Hastings Country Park is a wonderful place to visit if you enjoy stunning views and a pleasant walk. There are many trails to choose from, some long ones that will take a few hours to complete and a few shorter if you don't want to spend much time. I would highly recommend spending the day exploring Hastings Country Park to really appreciate its beauty. The park has plenty of parking available; it is not that expensive, £5 for the entire day, and knowing that some of the money contributes to the park's maintenance is good. The park is maintained really well; bushes are cut back to allow clear access to the available walks, and lovely rustic fencing is throughout the park. Benches are dotted around the walks and picnic tables so you can take a little break and enjoy your drink and food, which is ideal for the entire family. The park is also dog-friendly; water is provided for your furry friend for free. You can also buy a wide range of hot/cold food and beverages at the visitor centre near the car park. Read moreWell kept country park with great coastal views, unspoilt nature and Exmoor ponies. Challenging but enjoyable walks down to Fairlight Glen and Ecclesbourne Glen - after heavy rain, the steep paths can be extremely muddy but the effort is rewarded with waterfalls and an exotic looking beach. Café and toilet facilities at The Bale House visitor centre. Plenty of paid parking (charges aren't too steep but machines don't give change). A great place to walk the dog (when it hasn't been too wet) and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. My favourite time to visit is on a clear day after a period of heavy rain in the winter months, when the waterfalls are in full flow. On winter evenings there are gorgeous sunsets...
