Codger fort is a striking landmark on the top of one of the tallest hills in the area. Whilst some say it may have been built for defensive reasons we think it is a pretty clear folly, built to impress. Views are limited from the road and there is no indication that visitors on foot are welcome. Unless you are really interested in history it is worth just admiring...
