It's a beautiful place for a stroll, albeit a but muddy in places. You get to see ruperra Castle (from a distance), it's fallen into disrepair unfortunately, but still a beautiful looking castle. When you get up into the wooded area, there are a few paths to follow and lots of different colours to look at from the different flowers and trees that are there. At the very top of the hill, there is an old roundhouse with no roof, and the views are spectacular. You can see for a good few miles in each direction, definitely worth spending a couple of hours in the vicinity to take in all the beautifulness the area had to offer. Read moreA wonderful little hill - just 182m above sea level - with great views and a unique circular stone walled summit. Loads of woodland loops up to and around the hill, but only very limited views of nearby Ruperra Castle - to get a view of that you need to get closer or fly a drone above the trees.
Draethen is a very picturesque little village and although the pub closed a few years ago, the community is trying to buy it to reopen it.

A few scenic spots along the route, such as a pond, the hill Fort and castel rupperra. I believe we took the main path, which is quite steep.
