Clifton Marina — Attraction in Salford

Love taking dogs and children here. Lake and river for dogs to swim in. Lots of bins and benches. Some open areas to play football and dogs to have a run. Some lovely scenery. Most of paths are pram and wheelchair friendly unless you go off beaten track. Some interesting history to see. Fairy tale walk around the lake with wooden statues to spot and keep little ones interested. Large play area (recently refurbished). Large free car park with disabled spaces. Cafe, (very expensive but dog friendly) visitors centre and toilets only open limited times hence...

Great little walk. Lots to see along the way. I came across lots of beautiful little carvings, expertly carved. There is the river to follow and the lake to walk around. I took the lake option and discovered the carvings. Lots of open space for picnics too. Great little park for the kids if there still feeling energetic...
