Since Jungle Jim’s have stopped having weekday play sessions and are now only open on Friday, Saturday and Sundays it’s not nearly such a good place to take your kids. We went today and took our grandsons 2&4. The place was packed. Big kids running riot, chasing each other and at times barging past much younger kids. Most parents were too busy either chatting or on their mobiles to be able to monitor their children. It appears that now they are open for less days JJ’s prefer to cram more families in over the shorter period than spread them out over the week making the same amount of money over less hours. This doesn’t suit us and we won’t be returning. It was a favourite place of ours to take our grandchildren - but we look after our grandchildren only in the mid week days so unless it’s the holidays I doubt we will return…. And given how crowded it was today we probably won’t return in the holidays either. Another issue is that we were unable to use a table in the centre as they were all taken and the only free ones were out of sight of the play area so we couldn’t watch the kids from them. Again this is due to the overcrowding. The whole experience could be improved by having no sessions and allowing people to drop in and out as they wish. People might even stay and have lunch then too…… arriving at 2:30 means lunch is over and leaving at 4:30 is too early for dinner. So the cafe loses out. Same for the earlier session. It’s a great concept but the changes are clearly not to benefit the customer only the staff or management....

It’s a nice place but only if it is not busy I would assume. Sadly because of our experience we will not be returning.

The staff on the entry till do not seem to know what capacity of the building is which questions their health and safety policy and management of non employees. Mind boggles at a response from member of staff “I don’t know” when a customer asks are you at capacity. They are happy to take your money and let you in but when you do there is no where to sit.

Seems like a nice place but the management of crowd is less than poor which questions the safety of customers. Is there a lack of staff training?

We did not feel particularly welcome either. The only table free was being used by member of staff to check in party guests. When we asked to sit there we were told “I am using this table for checking in guests”.

Does that mean that just because we were not part of the party we are not paying guests? Can’t the staff member use...

This was our first experience of taking our soon to be 1 year old to a soft play and will certainly be our last at Jungle Jims. The place was packed. We could barely walk to the back due to their being a queue for drinks half the length of the building. As soon as we saw that we knew getting a drink wasn't worthwhile. We had about 5 minutes in the 0-3 year old section with our daughter until MUCH older kids were just running riot in there, throwing around the obstacles and nearly landing on my child. I don't understand why there isn't a member of staff monitoring this as the parents were clearly too busy chatting away to care. The place was just so overcrowded. It feels like they just let anyone in without a maximum capacity. Big shame as its our local and we heard good things but seems like the place has gone down hill recently. Such a waste of...
