This was an unexpected treat. We were here during July 2022 heatwave, on a weekday and had place to ourselves. What a haven of peace and tranquility. I really liked how the gardens blend in seamlessly with the local landscape. Best tenner we've spent in a while, we had 4 hours there, loved all the pathways and fact not signposted, encouraging you to look through all nooks and crannies. If we'd brought a packed lunch, could have whiled away whole day here. Plenty fauna too, from swans and ducks to dragonfly and a curious sounding bird we never actually saw. Glorious place, a credit to the original family and all those who must help look after the gardens now. Many thanks. Would love to return in May when the roddies are at...

Not really impressed. We were the only people there. Made the donation to enter. It looks like it's in need of some care. There are various gates and pathways that are in need of attention, but there are wooden walkways and bridges that are dangerous with broken or nearly broken planks. I like the story behind the garden and the setting is lovely. This is a very, very natural garden! It looks like it might have been quite impressive about a decade ago. May be worth visiting at a different time of year? I don't begrudge the entrance fee as it is for a...

This place is perfect - so perfect that we got married here this August 2025! Every time that we have been here we are absolutely blown away with the peace and tranquility. There never seems to be many visitors but there's always someone there. The garden is formed round a small loch. Great care has been taken to ensure that visitors are given the best experience possible. The history of the garden and how/why it was created is both sad and fascinating. All they ask for is a small donation (if possible) towards it's upkeep. Please go, enjoy and pay...

A garden with a difference…I went in late august when the rhododendrons were not in bloom but it didn’t matter because the location is serene and beautiful…a small Loch with a resident pair of swans and their babies added to the ambience. This garden was created by a mother who lost her son and she did him proud. A beautiful bell hangs in her honour which you can ring to remember her-but it inevitably made me remember my own lost loved ones. I will definitely be returning
