Met friends for lunch and a chat, very busy but nice atmosphere. The server was lovely, chatted away, very friendly and gave advice on what to get. There was a good choice of food on the menu, and I could see other people's food being brought out, it all looked amazing. I chose smoked salmon and egg sandwich with a small portion of soup, my partner ordered the farmers salad, a bit like a ploughman's. Both came quickly, I wish I had took photos but since we had company I didn't. His salad was beautiful, very colourful, plenty of cheese, pickles etc, nice thick cut ham. She brought a few choices of dressings for him to try as they sell them in the shop, all were gorgeous. Our only wish was that we had tried the cakes or scones, so we will return soon to have a try. Lovely place,...

Ardardan Estate is a pleasant place to visit. It's easy to park and there is a garden centre, a food and gift shop and a restaurant serving light meals and snacks. The plants for sale are mostly well looked after and of good quality. The restaurant is popular and the menu offers a good selection of toasties, sandwiches, soups and salads at moderate prices. A lot of items are served with salad and it's a pity that the dressings on offer are of the commercial bottled variety. The blue cheese one on our table had twenty five ingredients including a lot of preservatives and an anti-fungal agent. It would be a big improvement if they just served good olive oil and wine vinegar. Generally the food is good quality and well prepared with excellent home baked cakes...

We came here a lot in the past and I especially used to love the Shepherds Pie and lentil soup. However on this visit, it will be our last. We were very disappointed with what we got. No pie and soup left so I had macaroni as did our daughter and my wife had a baked potato with cheese. I have to say that my macaroni was ok to begin with, then it became inedible as it was dry as anything. And you were supposed to get crusty bread but we got plain white sliced bread instead I was looking forward to my pie and soup all day but left extremely disappointed. Even the salad was nothing great and didn't even have the right dressing. Needless to say, we won't...

The shop is welcoming well set out across the 2 rooms with lots of good produce. Staff are happy to help with a smile & very knowledgeable about stock. The cafe was a whole different story. Staff run of there feet & miserable looking. We ordered soup from specials board but 5 mins later it got wiped from the board & my Mum remarked ohh we must be the last to get it. 10 mins after someone finally came over to break the bad news! After ordering the lentil our food came out instantaneously. I ordered a prawn Marie rose toastie. I got hard dried out prawns on slimmie wet soggy bread with no Marie rose or even mayo in sight.

My wife and I visited for breakfast for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. I ordered the baked potatoes with tuna and house slaw, accompanied by a latte, and found it to be absolutely delicious. My wife had the brie, bacon, and apple panini, which she also loved. For dessert, we shared a pistachio cannoli and a paradise slice, both of which were delightful. The service was prompt and attentive. Additionally, we explored the garden center, where we purchased some plants and treats from the village shop. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and we look forward to returning.

I visited the Farm shop and restaurant yesterday for the first time in years A really marvellous restaurant with a great menu. Cakes and traybakes are first class. Its not cheap but well worth it for the quality on offer in all aspects. There is a lovely terrace, perfect for good weather days overlooking a beautiful, working Dolphin sculpture Fountain. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Really great girls I look forward to my next visit.3/11/24. Had coffee and cake selection. No changes, just as good as ever. Well worth a visit.🤗
