If you walk past the first trail,,on the left just past gate house. On to play park trail? Some climbing frames wobbly beams etc.on to a reasonably high waterfall. The path drops steeply on towards aros pier is a decent walk round the loch but can get quiet steep in places. It was wet when we did it and hence slippy on wooden stairs while carrying a twin buggy,( not recommended)but we were passed th point of no return, but mostly an enjoyable couple of hours

Visited in July 2021 A lovely quiet and wild hike. Not particularly taxing, but I did break a sweat. Midges did make an appearance regularly, but I managed to only get 1 bite with no repellent. Would like to return and go on some of the other trails in the area. Lovely views from the forest areas to the sea, and beautiful moss covering a lot. The waterfalls in the area are a lovely place to rest, but watch out for the Midges.

A short drive away from Tobermory, but best just to saunter along the coastal path and on your way back pop in for a pint or bite in Macgochans! The car park also has covered seating and barbeque areas. Also, there are lovely walks around the loch, ideal for dogs, and head down to the pier for lovely views back to Tobermory and the nearby waterfalls that pour into the sea.

The toilets have been shut for THREE YEARS. Nearest ones are an hour walk away in Tobermory. I had walked the coastal path from there. No sign posts along the way. Eventually saw one for a car park and followed that.. it was 2 minutes from the car park.... Intended to sit with my flask them walk to the pier but lack of toilets made this not possible. My advice... walk along path from Tobermory for 20 minutes. See the views. Turn round...

Great flora & forna, whilst there, there were some major repairs & notices about path works into Tobermory, pity NONE of the websites we visited prior to our visit mentioned this fact though! Plans of/for improvements were brief, but hopefully will be beneficial for future visits/visitors. Overall 7/10 primarily for the wildlife, woodlands, lake & waterfall, improvements ongoing, be warned you cannot walk into Tobermory from...
