Visited August 2024 from Yorkshire. One of my favourite places. So many memories of visiting with my parents and brother when we were young, finding fossils and investigating the caves. In my teens with my best friend walking my dog early morning while staying with my Grandma. I've seen the harbour change so much over the years. I wasn't sure I would ever get back down to the beach but was delighted to find that the road down was very much accessible by foot (not sure I'd be brave enough to drive down but others had). It was wonderful to visit again and can't wait until...

Beautiful beach. Amazing pebbles. The pebble filled cliffs are formed from an ancient river delta. The noise from the sea echos around the cliffs and is fabulous. The water is clear and a wicked colour. There's even a public toilet in the village atop the cliffs. Check it out if you're anywhere close, it's an amazing place. There's a bunch of steps (126 I think we counted!) to get down...

Beautiful spot, high cliffs, pebble beach, an old harbour. Easy to get to and find in the small village of Auchmithie. Steep path down, so many wildflowers and butterflies. Rock pools, safe for a swim or paddle, folk kayaking, really...
