Covid level 2 restrictions. Easy one way system and spaced queue to get in. Staff wearing masks and dividers at all checkouts.
Brilliant day out for the kids. Make sure you leave yourself plenty of time and don't go tired!
Debated leaving off a star for the driveway in in as it's single track with large sections that either don't have passing places or they are mud filled holes of doom. Didn't need to pass cars so 5 stars. ;) Take your time on the road as there are pheasants and folks who dinnae know how to drive on single track roads.
Loads of parking at this brilliant farm park. Overspill car park on grass but given ticket restrictions it's not used unless you want to.
Entry is quick and easy with stuff to purchase for kids and animal feed at the doorway. This area is also where you can buy drinks, ice cream and lunch. Order food at the tills and it's brought to the table. Fast service and tasty food with kids and adult menus.
The farm park itself is great with each item noted for age group and any special requirements or potential problems ie slippery when rains etc. The park itself is massive and easy to space out and sit on the many benches or on the grass. Feel free to bring a picnic but only food bought in the cafe can be eaten there. Several food kiosks near the bouncy bags which sell ice cream, cakes coffee and soup.
Some things ie bouncy bag have duplicates for younger and older kids. Plenty of climbing frames, mazes, and gokarts as well as a zipline, football golf, fairy garden and hay pen (very dusty do this towards the end!).
Plenty of animals around the park to feed including horses goats, chickens and sheep and there is a mini representation of the park for rabbits and guinea pigs.
Oh and there is strawberry picking reached from the car park. Great strawberries, be prepared for the cost though as so easy to pick loads!
Overall a great day out. Have been before and will go...
Read moreBriarlands Farm Park is a fantastic place for a family day out and one of those spots that really makes both kids and parents happy. Parking is very easy and right next to the entrance, so from the start everything feels convenient. The ticket prices are reasonable for what you get, and once you go inside, you quickly realize how much there is to do.
The animals are always the main attraction, and Briarlands doesn’t disappoint. Children can feed the goats and sheep, see the ponies, and spend time around animals that they don’t normally get to see up close. The set-up is very safe, which gives parents peace of mind, and at the same time the kids are having so much fun. It’s also educational without feeling like school – children can learn about farming and animals in a very natural way.
Beyond the animals, the farm has some amazing play areas. There are large outdoor playgrounds, trampolines, ride-on toy tractors, and even a maize maze during the summer months. My kids could have easily spent hours just playing. There’s also space to picnic if you bring your own food, but the café is a nice option too, with tasty snacks and drinks at fair prices.
The whole place is well kept, clean, and very family-friendly. It never feels too crowded, so you can relax and enjoy your time without rushing. Briarlands Farm Park is the kind of place where the kids can run around, explore, and laugh all day, while parents enjoy the countryside atmosphere. It’s a wonderful, affordable, and memorable day out that I’d recommend...
Read moreFirstly, I felt this was overpriced. Plus booking fee £1.50 so £28. Arrived at the reception. Booking couldn't be found. So paid again, hoping hadnt been charged twice. Purchased 2 bags a food for animals 50p each so that wasn't bad. The farm itself is well spaced out. Seems a lot for kids to do but not so much younger preschool kids. We mainly went to see the animals and to be honest this was the biggest let down. There is a double fence between all the animals I assume for safety reasons. So the food Purchased in the shop goes down a pipe between the two fences, then to the animal. So there is absolutely no interaction that is there at all with the animals. We were really looking forward to seeing the alpacas. But again.....disappointed. couldn't even feed them down the pipe! I would expect maybe a time of the day that the alpacas come out or that someone is there maybe to talk about them or pet them like with the rabbits etc. Overall, wasn't worth the price and the travel of over an hr to get there. There was absolutely no atmosphere. Just looked like a big money making machine. Won't...
