Absolutely beautiful over here. The lighthouse is lovely and the setting is truly mesmerising. Me and my partner visited and we watched the sea for hours and unfortunately we weren't lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the dolphins on the day but just a few metres away from this little light house my partner proposed at sun set and it honestly was just incredible. There were a few people around walking dogs and having a stroll but it was so peaceful it almost felt like we were alone. If you're close by then I'd highly recommend visiting and enjoying the amazing views it...

Absolutely beautiful over here. Pay and display parking and after 5 pm is free. Lighthouse is closed for public. The beach walk and the view are breathtaking. We have seen 3 dolphins very close to beach. Dolphins can be seen at anytime (and not at all!) but the best time to see them is usually on a rising tide. From around 1 hour after low tide, the tide turns and dolphins start to chase fish in. This means if you know tide times for a particular day, you can work out the best time to see dolphins at...

If you are in the area, this lighthouse complex is well worth, however be cautious and careful when driving through the golf course. Be aware anything can happen a ball could take out your windscreen and an irate player may even through a club in your direction. I have known golf trolleys with a mind of their own go awol, especially those which are remote controlled. Enough of that you may be lucky enough to see dolphins playing...

Visited here as part of the NC500 trip. We walked over from Fortrose camp site via the beach. Lovely working lighthouse with great views. Unfortunately can't get up close to it as it is private land. There is an information board and seating area close by. Plenty of pay and display parking if arriving by car.
