Could do with a few more directional signs & some better footing as the track is very muddy and slippery - I'm not sure we were actually on the right track but there were no signs beyond the initial ones leaving the car park and it looked like the most obvious route. Having said that it was a super spot, very quiet, we were the only people there and the views were awesome. Read moreClearly signposted off the Longniddry-Drem road and a neat dedicated little carpark (tarmac, not mud as at so many monuments). Then a pleasant signposted path to the fort 100m away. For a hill covered in mounds and ditches it's surprisingly atmospheric to think of the people who sat and looked at this view when Jesus was a lad.
