Review of Roundtrip Cruise from Luss:

It was a rainy day and not really anything to do that day. So we decided - despite the weather - to do a small Loch Lomond Cruise.

Found this company here with several departures from Luss. The office at the pier was closed that day, so we booked two tickets in the morning for a cruise on the same day afternoon.

Price was 16£ a person. A very fair deal.

The boat had a nice size. Plenty of seats and tables inside with big windows to enjoy the loch views. There's also the top section of the boat where you can get some real nice views and pics. Even though partly heavy rain I went up there sometimes to get some pics. The rain and the clouds actually even added to the scottish atmosphere here.

There was also some live commentary and infos. Staff was very friendly, helpful and informative. There's a kiosk to get some snacks and drinks. A toilet as well on board.

Took a bit under 90mins. A very nice short round cruise around the beautiful Loch Lomond. Stopped at Balmaha and at the remote small island of Inchcailloch to let passengers hop on and off. You could just do a part of the cruise or just spend a while in one place and get back on the boat later. The small beach of Inchcailloch looked very charming. Maybe next time on a sunny day.

A very nice thing to do this cruise. Nice views along the coast, lots of small islands you'll pass. A very relaxing, quiet place. We love Luss and Loch Lomond. Surely not the last time we've been here. And definitely not the last time on a Loch cruise with...

Made the most of the heatwave last weekend and took the Lomond Princess from Luss to Inchcailloch island on Saturday at 10am. Archie was our skipper and Oscar his crew, both were very welcoming and attentive to the 25+ visitors onboard. Archie gave a superb running commentary on the history of loch lomond as we cruised towards our destination, mentioning interesting facts about the islands we passed, and spotting wildlife, including the nesting pair of Osprey with their one chick. Archie was great at balancing commentary with comfortable silence, so we could enjoy our surroundings and the spectacular views in the glorious sunshine. I highly recommend Inchcailloch island as a destination. Take a picnic and some camp chairs and you can enjoy the island walks, the woods and camp bbq area, and the beach with its cool water to dip into when the sun gets too much! We opted to take the 1350 boat back to Luss , plenty of time on the island before heading home. The boat was packed on the return trip after picking up more visitors at Balmaha. Archie gave us all a grand finale with his story telling of the song, The Bonnie Banks o' Loch Lomond, and proceeded to sing said song as we approached Luss pier. A lovely ending to a fantastic day on the water, thanks Archie, Oscar and everyone at Cruise Loch Lomond. We shall...

Saved our soggy asses - thank you, thank you!!

We missed the last ferry from Inversnaid (by 1 minute) and were faced with the utterly miserable prospect of another four hour scramble along the un-rideable loch-side section to our accommodation at Beinglas further up the loch. Having been riding all day and running on fumes already - busting both lung and gut trying to make the boat on time - our spirits were crushed watching the ferry setting off just as we arrived at the jetty.

After some (very) loud and (very) rude words I called the office on the off chance that there might be a Plan B.

After confirming that we had pre-booked tickets (for us + our bikes) the lady that answered put a tannoy call out and let us know someone was coming to get us.

We were scooped up by what appeared to be a chartered cruise full of lovely, very friendly (if slightly bewildered) Indian tourists who seemed as pleased to see us as we were them.

To the captain and young lass on the boat, and lady that sent them - thank you again. It may have felt like a small gesture on your end but I promise you it made an almighty difference on ours.

Cannot recommend these guys...

5point Review Activity duration: 1 hour Ratings: 7/10 Let us have a closer look. 1. The Good: Good experience. It was a very good way of Exploring Loch Lomond's northern side. 2. The Bad: The cruise boat looked a little old, was a little crowded and there was no booking office on site. I Called them and they said to book online or pay on the boat itself. 3. The WoW Factor: The scenery is wow (yeah I am saying this for the thousandth time but this is what Scotland is all about, Nature at its best) cruising through this magnificent lake at a leisurely pace was very refreshing. The commentary from the captain was good. 4. Money Matters: 12 pounds per person is worth it if you wish to have a more closer and deeper look at this magnificent lake. 5. The 5-point Experience: An hour well spent in the lap of nature. Only the overcrowded upper deck was a little nuisance. My Verdict: Recommended for families for a laid-back ride amongst the serene beauty. Not for thrill seekers, you might get bored.
