For the 13th of October the weather was fabulous. The sun was beating down on my back while the fine white sandy beach was a joy to walk on. There were family's picnicking on blankets, children squealing in delight as the ran in and out of the crashing waves, dig walkers and of course the surfers on their boards and wet suits. My idea of heaven with the spirit of the bay making you feel very blessed to be alive and just..there. Jemima

Great beach, slightly tucked away but easy to get to. If you're lucky you can see red deer on the road down to it. We've seen short eared owls and golden eagles there too.

Left only footprints! Clean toilet block was a bonus in the middle of nowhere! Lane down to the beach looked sketchy but plenty of passing places and a large car park!

Down a single track road for about a half a mile, but there is a car park and toilet block at the beach. Very good beach but please be aware it can be dangerous to swim from as it shelves steeply, and the cliffs either side can only be walked with great care as they can be dangerous. The beach itself is very clean and can be accessed below the corner of the cemetery. Once through the pedestrian gate, I usually find it easier to swing left and use the tarmac road to get down onto the beach; if you walk alongside the bottom of the cemetery, you might have to clamber over more boulders to get down...

Beautiful this is mother nature at her best, incredible scenery and the air so invigorating to breath. Would recommend a visit every time to this beach if you are on holiday in this part of the world. Mind you the rest of the Outer Hebrides islands are just as outstanding, remote, rugged, steaped in history the sort of places that...
