Checked website for open days and went on castle open day. Open at 1pm for Castle tours. Turned up at 1pm Castle tours available at 2pm and 3pm displayed on entry sign. Started walking to Castle and no one around so looked at gardens. Was approached by a worker who advised Castle is closed. £5 to visit gardens. Not impressed. We checked website before visit. Read moreTook a walk with the dog and after seeing the castle online thought it would be a nice little walk. As I arrived there were no signs or information to say private grounds, took a walk to the castle and was confronted by an uptight woman, enraged that we would look at the castle as its "their home". She said the grounds will be open in summer and we can come back and pay then to have a look... I wouldn't waste your money, horrible person and there's nicer places to go like House...
