A great place to visit on your own or with your pets. The sandy beach area is large enough to do the beach type activities but does get full quickly. Tide is often flat and not too deep for paddling or swimming and the coastal path leads across the top of the beach and out along the coast to the North. Carpark is small, cheapish, but adequate except when full at summer and has a few other walks leading from it (like the path to Dunbeg). A really nice view of the islands beyond (on a clear day) which can be enjoyed from the picnic area (grassy area to the side of the carpark). There is also a fast food outlet (not always open) serving good food reasonably priced. In all a nice place to visit and recommended if in...

Usually the only bit I visit. Worthwhile afternoon out from Oban, when sick of...

Come 22:30 and everything went quiet! All we could hear was the waves lapping at the beach. Lovely...
