Delightful beach! What remains of the dig may be a bit of a mess but the natural part of the landscape is gorgeous. One feature we didn't make use of - but resolved to do so in future! - was an enclosed bbq pit. All the grilling kit looked brand new, and it's in a beautiful round wall that looks like the top of a well. Hats off to whoever made it. Looking forward to...

The archaeology is covered over with sheets held down with tyres and stones. It hasn’t been uncovered for some years, as sand and grass is growing on the sheets. The fence has.collapsed in places too. It is however possible to identify some round houses and lists under the coverings. It’s a bit like doing an archaeological investigation of the...

The beach is nice but the dig must have finished years ago and is now a bit of a mess. Looks like a tip to be honest. It's a pity that archeology can be negative on the natural landscape...tyres,plastic sheeting,collapsed barbed wire fencing and a rusting shipping container would be classed as an environmental eyesore anywhere else. It's a pity that archeology can be negative on the natural landscape...tyres,plastic sheeting,collapsed barbed wire fencing and a rusting shipping container would be classed as an environmental eyesore anywhere else.
