Loch Striven extends off of the Firth of Clyde just north of the Isle of Bute, where it forms a narrow inlet about 8 miles long extending north into the Cowal Peninsula.

Beautiful scenery. Because the loch is narrow the water here can be very calm which creates marvellous reflections of the surrounding hills. The road runs along the side of the loch and is single track with passing places so be a careful and courteous driver. Just visited here today with my grandson and cooked a meal...
