Great country park. Free access and parking. Plenty of park as they also have an over flow field car park. The castle ruins are on the left on your way in to the park. We stayed in the motorhome section for 2 nights, it is great value for money and the facilities are very good. Water, grey water waste dump, 2x large rubbish bins. Once the day time visitors have gone home the place is very quite. You can launch canoes and paddle boards straight into the lake from the beach area. Can get busy on a sunny day. People do fish this lake, we did and caught two nice pike. You get a fishing permit from the main willies reception center. My only down side to this place is the fisherman that have no care for other people or the environment, really makes me sick and these people should be shot on the spot. Leaving line and hooks all over the banks really isn't fair as people or dogs could get hurt. I cleared several areas when I was there. But the park itself is great it's just people like this that let it down for everyone...

The building also has its own car park with blue badge spaces and a new mobile home parking area with facilities. There is another building with a cafe and toilets, plus meeting rooms for private hire. There blue badge parking in front of the entrance to this building. Plus a very large car park nearby. There is a gravel path around the water. There is also mountain bike trails in certain areas of the park. There is a riding stables nearby, but it was closed to public use since before lockdown. There are 3 car park entrances around Lochore Meadows Country Park. The main one from the village of Lochore. The other 2 are accessed from the Kelty side of the park. I have been told that a holiday caravan park is being constructed on the Kelty side of the park. When that will be opened...

Also there's an excellent cafรฉ, which has hot and cold food, and the staff are always pleasant. Plenty seats outside and in. I wrote this review awhile ago, since then the new playpark has been built it's great, but have the council actually thought it through? My friend and I walk round the meadows every week, we're like a lot of the people there, pensioners. We look forward to our exercise sense of wellbeing and then a coffee in the cafรฉ. Since the new park opened we've not been able to get a parking space, some people are actually parking on the grass which is churning up mud. Surely a bigger carpark should have been built to cater for the influx of people using the new facilities. Come on Fife Council you can do better...
