Moffat Community Nature Reserve — Attraction in Scotland

A great wee hidden gem lots to see if you're a birder and has a couple of bird watching and photography hides. The road on to the reserve is narrow and has a few potholes but don't let that put you off this is a cracking area to visit the walk are gravelly but flat don't think it's suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs which is a shame the hide I visited wasn't the cleanest again don't let that put you off if you're in the area...

The public path on the way down was very bad with massive holes in the road. If you have a decent car dont go! The reserve has been left to rack and ruin and there doesnt seem to be any maintenance going on. It seems a shame because it's such a beautiful space and could be so much better. Looks like it might be a nice place to spend some time with nature in better weather. The paths were very wet in February and it could do with a path away from the road linking up the reserve nearest the town over the field by the old railway bridge.
