We had a wonderful visit to the Monteviot Lights show which was taking place between 30th Nov and the 10th Dec 2023. We had visited the courtyard cafe a playground a few times over the years, but this was our first seeing the garden. As this was an evening visit, we didn't get to see the garden in it's natural state. It was however a magical and enchanting experience seeing it beautifully lit and with music playing as you walked around. Well worth a visit if you're visiting the Scottish Borders or looking for an evening activity in Dec 2023. There were toilets at the beginning and also half way through the walk by the food stalls. The vista is exceptional with sweeping lawns and varied and interesting landscaping. There are benches dotted around to sit and admire the view. There's something wonderful to see round each and every corner. We even had 2 deer run right past us! The gardeners were pleasant and willing to chat. Entry fee extremely reasonably priced too.
