I just returned from this old church (October 26, 2023) after flying across the ocean with the hope of seeing the grave of my ancestor in the cemetery there. I saw it before in 2018. Now the entire church and its cemetery are fenced off completely. Even worse, the grounds in which the graves lie is not being maintained or even mowed. This cemetery contains the grave of Lachlan Mor Maclean, the 14th Chief of the Clan Maclean and an extremely historic figure. I fear that this and all the other graves will be consumed by the earth if nothing is done. Unforgivable. The old church was built in 1827, relatively new for Scotland.
