This beach is so wet and murky i went there on the 17th July.2021 the day of my wedding to see the sea , you have to walk miles to see the sea I was walking and sinking in to the sand I took my sandals off so I didnt lose them .Me and my fiancé had to try and make our way back with some skill barefoot .I manage to get off the beach and was crossing the grass to get back to our car when I slipped on the grass because it was uneven and ended up falling and was on my back in pain with 2 broken toes and a very sore ankle never again .I had to get back to my hotel and get ice on my ankle luckily I still got married that day and it didn't spoil anything but I couldn't wear my wedding shoes all day as my foot was swollen .

Kids loved 'paddling'. It was incredibly windy on our visit next which in the end became a quick stop to break up the journey. It's not a beach like Bournemouth, more of exposed 'sand' once the tide goes out so don't plan to sunbath! More of a walking and splashing about/paddling 'beach'. Walk down to sea was very uneven at the bit we stopped at so no pushchair or wheel chair access. May be better further down but we didn't explore that far. Still great fun but know what you are going to.

Nice beach,Dog friendly and you can go out far although I wouldnt recommend doing out too far the sand/mud gets soft and deep as we found out today this was on the right side, the first time we when to the left and the tide was coming in. We still when out pretty far and didnt experience the same soft deep sand. I would say if you are with little kids and you walk down to the sea just becare as it can go from ankle to waist with a step.

A beautiful village full of really lovely people. The beach is great, mix of gravel and sand. Dog loves it. Early mornings are my time and I love it in winter, man has never tamed the sea!!!!! Loads of bird species to watch out for and wildflowers stunning in spring and early summer. Loads of bins so no excuse to leave mess, dog waste or otherwise. Beware of deer in among the gorse if walking dogs. They come down from woodland...
