Impressive chambered cairn built around 5000 years ago, situated on one of Sanday's peninsulas. The cairn can be entered by a narrow passageway that requires crawling on all fours, but the crawl is worth it to see the interior. Several smaller chambers can also be accessed from the inside.
Parking is available at the end of a dirt track at Quoyayre, just to the north of the cairn. The 20 minute walk down from the parking area to the site itself is very scenic, but do note that a farmer's sign at the start of the path...

If you are a big person you may struggle to get through the entrance as two members of our group had to stand outside.
