The gate across the farm track was shut as the farmer was working with his tractor at the top, right by the castle, so the gentleman that has the car workshop before the farm very kindly let us park on his grass but he clearly didn't really want to lol. There is literally nowhere to park though apart from the top but if the gate is shut often, a bicycle might be a more friendly way to get here. I was so impressed with these ruins though - the tower still has a roof on it and there is one window where the stone frame is still fully intact. Such a rarity! Wish we'd taken a wee picnic with us and stayed a...

Couldnt get to castle as the gates where locked with some type of wire, to get there you have to drive down a unnamed road and walk through a farmers field, there was cows in the field a tractor but didnt see any other way to get there, i think it public access but didnt feel comfortable about hoping gates on farmers field, i didnt see a farmer who i could ask if it ok and where i come from its polite to ask the farmer if its ok to walk over the farmers land, you can see the ruins fro the unnamed lane but its not...

A little off the beaten track literally but well worth a visit. You will miss the narrow track if you're not switched on though. Look out for a hand written sign and you're nearly there. You may see the angry Turkey protecting his female partner too 😁. The ruin is in good order and the immediate ground around it is tended to. The only issue is the parking its limited. The ruin is at the end of the narrow track but I don't reckon there will be throngs...

Beautiful Castle on some farmland in the middle of no where. No ideal parking, we had the driver stay with the vehicle incase someone needed us to move. Walking up to the Castle you have to open the gate and continue walking until you get to two more gates. We went to the left gate and up to the front of the Castle. The right gate went into the wooded area and we didn’t bother going that way. Remarkable piece of history.
