The most spectacular thing about this area is the view. Simply amazing views of the coast as you walk along the cliff tops, with the Old Man of Hoy visible at one end and a lighthouse at the top of a cliff at the other.
This is just a 5-min drive from the Brough of Birsay, so it's a nice thing to do after crossing over the Brough. Monument has all the names of the dead from the Hampshire and the sheer numbers made this a stunning place where the terror of the event felt more real.
