This was my third attempt to walk this beach. Previously the tide was high. What a beautiful beach to explore and enjoy. The day we visited there were surfers and paddle boarders. We enjoyed watching them practicing. There are toilets and parking which are both free. All in all an excellent visit

A pleasant beach with a lot of dogs. Surfers have pretty much taken over the western end of the beach. The public toilets next to the car park are just great. Immaculate and even heated. If you want to avoid the crowds at the weekend, head a little further west to...

SANDSEND Beach is loved by children. Sea caves, 2 miles of sand to Whitby. Main problem is access and parking, due to motor homes usual 10+staying on road. Access for older people poor, steps. Dogs restrictions! Lovely cafe and...
