It is a pity that the people that come here to see the natural beauty of the area & wild camp with their cars,vans etc including generators, chainsaws, axes & all manner of articles, see fit to destroy the very thing they come to see. It is also a shame that certain elements are not yet toilet trained. Evidence of which can be found within the undergrowth & even in the middle of the (now badly erroded) footpaths. Litter is another issue. It seems as though the people that visit assume that litter & articles they no longer want or have a use for is left for others to pick up along with their s..t. Read moreIt's a very far cry from a holiday in Benidorm or St Tropez, but to me that is a very good thing. This is a place for enjoying or communing with nature. The surrounding scenery is spectacular and the soft white sand lovely. OK so it gets a bit muddy down by the water at low tide but that's just the nature of an estuary.
You can take an interesting walk along to the mouth of the river but watch that you don't get cut off by the incoming tide.
