Great sculptures in the garden, dating back to 1828 so I understand. That was the best bit.
The whole NTS property is now a dedicated gallery and shop (except for a tiny section on the Souter Johnnie aspect). Whilst the NTS website isn't factually inaccurate, it is misleading and exaggerated the Souter Johnnie aspects - the gallery takes over and spoiled the experience for us. Kid was not in a good way after the trip being over tired and super hungery. Front of house Staff went far out of their way to help calm the child and get them to eat.
